What is STEPS™? STEPS stands for Strategic Trust and Estate Planning Software. This is LWP’s proprietary document templates, accessible through either the Knackly or Actionstep platforms.
Can I Still Use HotDocs? Technically, yes - HotDocs has granted us an extension that we anticipate will end approximately October 1, 2024. In the meantime, HotDocs will still work, but will not be our newest templates.
Why Switch to STEPS? LWP is no longer supporting or maintaining the old, HotDocs-based system as of its last update in February 2024. You will not have access to the newest documents and functionality through the HotDocs system, and should switch to STEPS to benefit from new and improved templates and features.
Does STEPS integrate with Actionstep? Yes, it will, but not just yet. Actionstep is finishing this integration and we are working closely with their team to implement it for our members.
Where Can I Access Additional Training? Scroll down for training videos related to using LWP STEPS. Further, you may attend Office Hours, which are scheduled on Mondays 4:00-5:00 EST, Wednesdays 10:00-11:00 EST, and Fridays 12:00-1:00 EST. All dates/times and the zoom link can be found on the LWP Events Calendar. No need to pre-register, just attend with your questions.
